What is preloved?
Preloved, second hand, new-to-you… however you label it, keeping clothes in circulation is one of the most planet-friendly ways to build your child's wardrobe, can often prove much better value than buying new and is an amazing way to experiment with style in a fun way.
We advocate for mindful consumption and believe in building a wardrobe that meets your own child's needs rather than responding to the marketing tactics of big brands. But let's be honest, compared to the convenience of shopping for new clothes, finding the best preloved clothes for kids can be a bit of a slog.
As busy parents, there's usually something better to do than switching between multiple apps to scroll through thousands of listings on the hunt for quality second hand clothes. Scrutinising blurry pictures, decoding sizing, managing budgets and tracking multiple parcels only to often be disappointed with what turns up but unable to return it.

We hand-pick the best quality preloved children's clothes from brands you love to ensure that second hand never feels like second best. We know that children's wardrobes need to be multifunctional, from comfy clothes for everyday adventures to special pieces for parties and occasions.
That's why we carry a wide range of items from high street brands such as Arket, Mini Boden and Zara as well as statement pieces from premium independents including Bobo Choses, Mini Rodini and Jelly Mallow. Osh Kosh B'gosh dungarees and practical outerwear from Liewood, Polarn O. Pyret and Kuling? Tick! And we've got special pieces from Stella McCartney, Rejina Pyo and L.F. Markey covered too.
Most of our second hand children's clothing is what is commonly known as 'modern preloved' but we carry the occasional piece of handmade or vintage clothing too. No matter the age of the garment, we have extremely high standards when it comes to preloved clothing.
All items are in the best possible used condition, and we spot clean, debobble and freshen up anything that might need a little TLC. While most of the preloved clothing we sell is practically perfect, any small marks or defects will be noted in an item listing and reflected in the pricing.
Aesthetically we think children's clothes should be fun: that means bright colours, patterns and textures while plenty of neutrals allow for easy mixing and matching. Many of our pieces are unisex too, so they're perfect for hand-me-downs among siblings, cousins or friends.
Consignment
Do you have old baby or children's clothes that you no longer need? Lovely things that you're definitely going to do something with, you're just not sure what. Perhaps they're in a pile somewhere adding to the mental load every time you lay eyes on them. Maybe they're lurking in the loft to be dealt with when you have some free time (what's that?)
The process of clearing out your kids' wardrobes can be daunting, often bringing up a range of emotions as you transition from one stage of your journey as a parent to another (and are reminded just how teeny they once were) and a boring one (taking multiple trips to the Post Office or having to barter with a prospective buyer online is nobody's idea of fun.)
That's why we want to make the resale process as smooth and fair as possible for all involved.
Just send us some clear pictures and details, we'll choose the pieces that we think will work best for us. We offer 50% of our selling price up front, no waiting for them to sell. You can drop them in person to our Broadstairs store or send them by your preferred service and, once we've checked them, we'll send you the agreed fee by bank transfer.
Preloved doesn't have to be perfect (although much of what we sell is) but no big stains, holes or rips please. And all items should be clean, of course! We carry sizes newborn to 8-9 years and shoes up to kids UK 13.
