What it is: Yoto is a clever little audio player that grows with your child, from newborn through to the big-kid years. For babies, it can be used for white noise, gentle stories and nursery rhymes to sing along to together. As they grow, there are first words, magical tales, early readers, music, fun facts, drawing along and Yoto Radio with Jake. Kids from around 3–12+ can use physical cards to explore audiobooks, music, activities and educational audio, all while giving their imaginations plenty of room to wander.
Why we love it: We love Yoto! We each have one for our own children. The beauty of it is how it grows with them, so it's something they can come back to year after year rather than quickly growing out of it. It's also brilliant for travelling and those long car journeys, with up to 14 hours of screen-free entertainment on a single charge. No cameras, no microphones and no ads.
At home, it can be used for bedtime stories and sleep sounds, as an OK-to-wake clock, a portable speaker or with headphones. The little pixel display brings the audio to life, too. Most importantly, it gives children the freedom to listen, imagine and explore independently, without a screen. From those first nursery rhymes to audiobooks, music, radio and fun facts, there's something for every age and stage.
